About ContentSpring

About ContentSpring

ContentSpring is a Windows application for simplifying web publishing. ContentSpring makes it easy to save Microsoft Word files directly from within Word to ContentSpring and have the files turned into organized web pages for your Web site &/or Intranet.

Save: directly from Microsoft Word using the free plug-in. The plug-in adds an additional save option within the File menu as well as a toolbar. It's easy for users to save, they require no technical skills like HTML. The user can be remotely located from the ContentSpring application and there can be multiple (unlimited) users saving to the one site (directory) – with full administrative controls.

Processes: The ContentSpring application processes the saved Word files turning them into web pages and listing them in the selected directory web pages. All the pages get up/down-loaded and will publish the web files on any web server type (uses the technology you already have). ContentSpring can do all its processing automatically without prompting you for input. This makes it ideal for running on your office server computer to facilitate multiple users saving to it. ContentSpring can be setup with regular scheduled processing (like every few minutes).

ContentSpring is quick and easy to setup even with no technical skills. You can even import your existing web designs to seamlessly integrate with your existing site.

Published: ContentSpring publishes the saved Word files as web pages. It automatically lists the web pages within directory web pages for easy access. Any number of directories can be setup - even sub-directories with breadcrumb trail links, creating a structured web site. ContentSpring can easily be used for any Web site or Intranet.

Create a structured site: The directory web pages can be setup to form a hierarchical structure of sub-directories. ContentSpring has a feature called 'Breadcrumb Trails' which allows directories to be setup with navigational links at the top of the directories and associated web pages. This feature keeps the viewer orientated whilst navigating your site. This is illustrated in the example Website. Best of all once ContentSpring is setup all the processing is done for you. The hardest decision the user (Author) is required to make is where (which directory) to list the saved page.

Some uses for ContentSpring include: reports, memos, news, support topics, product listings, FAQ's, press releases, projects, minutes to meetings, blogs, and so on - for your Website, Intranet &/or Extranet.
