CowFund

I really like CowFund which has been working hard to fight poverty using microcredit. CowFund has a new website which contains lots of interesting information on how to bring people out of poverty through self empowerment. In fact their motto is 'a hand up, not a hand out' which I think is great! Microcredit (sometimes called microfinance) has gotten a lot more attention since Muhammad Yunus won the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize. Professor Yunus is the founder of the Grameen Bank, which has done much to fight poverty throughout Bangladesh and the world. ...
